Tasca La Cascada, Donde da gusto comer!!! Tasca la Cascada
Tasca La Cascada
                Donde da gusto comer!!
We would like to welcome you to the only "Tasca" in Aruba.

"Tasca" is the name for a typical Spanish\Portuguese tapas-bar. Normally in a "Tasca" you get traditional Spaniard food and Mediterranean food.

A couple of years ago after opening a “one of a kind” bakery on the Island, we got the idea of opening a "Tasca" but combining it with traditional Portuguese food, Live music and karaoke. After 3 years of planning finally our dream came true, a place to eat and have fun with your family. Our restaurant is combined with a friendly bar.

Our menu consists of traditional Portuguese food grilled on charcoal and much more. Visit us and enjoy a wide variety of European wines, good food and our Tapas at local prices!

We are located in Noord near the Hotels on the road leading to Tierra del Sol.

We are waiting anxiously to serve you!!!

licking my lips!  And I/we did when we visited Victor and Tasca La Cascada at the end of July.  Not only was the food delicious, but it was a great treat to talk with Victor as he made his recommendations and we saw how much he enjoys cooking for his guests.
I had the lamb - Coreiro D'Avo  --- soooo tender and delicious, and my husband had the Churrasco a la Cascada which he enjoyed. Now for the sides (you get two)... wonderful plaintains in a batter with honey and cinnamon and "Portuguese style corn bread " -- grandma's secret were my favorites. Never thought I would get "crazy" over polenta (the corn bread), but yum, yum, yum. My husband even told Victor I wanted the recipe. (A ploy to get me to cook!)
Couldn't wait to get to the pool the next day to tell everyone about Tasca La Cascada.  Two groups went and couldn't thank us enough for the recommendation. They loved the Espetada Madeirense .. a kilo of meat that they said was the best! (My husband can't wait to get back (next July/Aug) to have that.)  In fact, I believe both returned for a second time and they were telling others.
More about Victor being gracious and wonderful - I told him that we would be returning next year with family and was happy that my daughter, a vegetarian, would be able to eat with us.  But, he said I should email him before we come and he would make sure he had ingredients to make her something special!  VICTOR is special!

My husband and I had a lovely dinner here in April 2007. I have been seeing their ad in the Aruba Today newspaper for a long time and finally said that we had to try this place. We are glad we did. I had ribeye steak which was not on the menu but did have available that night. My husband is still raving two months latter about the Cascarola a Cascada, which is a seafood mix. Victor, the chef was a wonderful host and we had alot of fun with Eddie, our waiter. We definetly will be back.

I found this hidden gem in the trip reports on Aruba.com before going. We were the only tourists there which is a great sign, that this is true Aruban restaurant.
First let me start by saying, this is one of those off the beaten path restaurants in Noord. If you are adventurous, you will love this restaurant. From the outside, it looks like an old bar. However, this is primarily a Portugese tapas restaurant, but they feature full portion entres also. I went with a group of 3, and we ordered various tapas and shared. The food was excellent. The chef stopped by our table to see how we liked everything. Once we told him how much we enjoyed it and inquired what some of the unique flavors were, he sent two more tapas to our table to try on the house. Although they serve dessert, the restaurant also has a bakery next door that has wonderful sweats to take home, which is what we did.
